Hi All, I am unable to connect to my Linux samba shares from XP Home, I always get a grayed out login field with guest selected. I googled around for solutions but none helped. I would appreciate any help, thanks SG

I'd suggest posting your smb.conf if you need additional help. XP Pro is required for that.XP Home cannot be a domain member, join the domain or use it as a logon server (like WFWG 3.11 could, actually even DOS with with the workgroup add-on could do this). It can, however, connect to and use the shares, including the printers. Chris
