Hello Got a problem with ldapsam passdb failover. Samba verson 3.0.22 (debian build). passdb backend = ldapsam:"ldap://192.168.2.2/ ldap://192.168.2.3/" For some unclean reason slapd at 192.168.2.2 eventially goes offline. Ex, Aug 4 06:27:36 localhost slapd[31295]: daemon: listen=8, new connection on 1023 Aug 4 06:27:36 localhost slapd[31295]: warning: cannot open /etc/hosts.allow: Too many open files Aug 4 06:27:36 localhost slapd[31295]: warning: cannot open /etc/hosts.deny: Too many open files Aug 4 06:27:36 localhost slapd[31295]: fd=1023 DENIED from unknown (192.168.2.2) Aug 4 06:27:36 localhost slapd[31295]: daemon: closing 1023 Aug 4 06:27:36 localhost slapd[31295]: daemon: select: listen=7 active_threads=0 tvp=NULL Aug 4 06:27:36 localhost slapd[31295]: daemon: select: listen=8 active_threads=0 tvp=NULL Next, i've got Aug 4 06:27:36 localhost smbd[1180]: [2006/08/04 06:27:36, 1] lib/smbldap.c:another_ldap_try(1051) Aug 4 06:27:36 localhost smbd[1180]: Connection to LDAP server failed for the 9 try! instead of switching to 192.168.2.3. Domain logons become unavailable until slapd is restarted. The [local] workaround is forcing slapd to restart every hour. Nevertheless i want make failover working. Any ideas? Thank you.
