Answering my own question... It worked.
But now I have another problem.
I've made the changes indicated on the HOWTO, to both smb.conf and
samb4wins.conf.
When I set the wins server at smb.conf to be the address of the samba4wins
server, the samba server isn't able to find the Domain master browser
anymore, which is in a different subnet.
In log.nmbd
[2006/04/13 09:48:19, 0]
nmbd/nmbd_browsesync.c:find_domain_master_name_query_fail(353)
find_domain_master_name_query_fail:
Unable to find the Domain Master Browser name INE<1b> for the workgroup
INE.
Unable to sync browse lists in this workgroup.
But with ldbsearch.
[root@si-lnx01 root]# ldbsearch -H /var/lib/samba4wins/wins.ldb type=0x1B
# record 5
dn: name=INE,type=0x1B
distinguishedName: name=INE,type=0x1B
type: 0x1B
name: INE
objectClass: winsRecord
recordType: 3
recordState: 0
nodeType: 3
isStatic: 0
expireTime: 20060507083646.0Z
versionID: 950556
winsOwner: 193.192.7.60
address: 193.192.7.38;winsOwner:193.192.7.60;expireTime:20060507083646.0Z;
Any ideas?
Anything I'm missing at smb.conf?
Best regards,
