When I run the command "pdbedit -L -v" I get the following error message along with some data: [root@pluto smbd]# pdbedit -L -v init_sam_from_ldap: Failed to get password history for user we371a --------------- Unix username: darryl NT username: darryl Account Flags: [U ] User SID: S-1-5-21-1338197941-1270242922-2978898711-3548 Primary Group SID: S-1-5-21-1338197941-1270242922-2978898711-1203 Full Name: Darryl L Home Directory: \\pluto\darryl HomeDir Drive: H: Logon Script: scripts\logon.bat Profile Path: \\pluto\Profiles\darryl Domain: LDAPWK Account desc: Workstations: Munged dial: Logon time: 0 Logoff time: Mon, 18 Jan 2038 19:14:07 GMT Kickoff time: Mon, 18 Jan 2038 19:14:07 GMT Password last set: Tue, 27 Sep 2005 15:27:50 GMT Password can change: Tue, 27 Sep 2005 15:27:50 GMT Password must change: Mon, 18 Jan 2038 19:14:07 GMT Last bad password : 0 Bad password count : 0 Logon hours : FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF Also, when I enter a bad password multiple times the "Bad password count" doesn't increment. I set it to 8 in the account policy by using the command: pdbedit -P "bad lockout attempt" -C 8 Is there something else that needs to be set for this to work? I am running Samba 3.0.6 and OpenLdap 2.0.27 on a RedHat 3.0u3 system. Thanks, Darryl
