samba - Mar 2005 - Inherit Permissions

I am using Samba-3. I have a samba share named art.  Is there any way to get
all files and folders that are created in art to inherit the group
permissions of art?

        browseable = yes
        path = /home/filesystems/Software
        inherit permissions = yes
        valid users = @dom_users

chgrp dom_users /home/filesystems/Software -R
chmod g+s /home/filesystems/Software -R

probably a good start - substitute for your situation.

Try setting the SGID bit on the directory:

chmod 2775 directory
