[Samba] Win98 refuses to share printers after migration to PDC
Hello everybody: Recently we migrated one LAN from a simple WORKGROUP based net to a Samba PDC. Everything was quite good, but after the process, The Win98 oses started to refuse sharing printers. Lets'see the problems: Using smbclient: smbclient \\\\PC-03\\HP -c "print /tmp/ex.txt" -U gestion Password: tree connect failed: ERRSRV - ERRinvdevice (Invalid device - printer request made to non-printer connection or non-printer request made to printer connection.) using smbspool: smbspool smb://gestion:gestion@NBNAME/PC-03/HP prueba gestion prueba 1 1 /dev/null failed tcon_X with NT_STATUS_BAD_DEVICE_TYPE ERROR: Connection failed with error NT_STATUS_BAD_DEVICE_TYPE ERROR: Unable to connect to SAMBA host, will retry in 60 seconds... We have a couple of XP in the LAN, and both are sharing the printers ok. I saw this message far time ago : http://lists.samba.org/archive/samba/2003-February/062096.html but nobody answered, maybe I'd have some more luck. Thanks in advance.

If you would send me a raw tcpdump trace (or ethereal) off list, I'll take a look. Also include what version of Samba you are using. cheers, jerry -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.5 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Thunderbird - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFCLh3sIR7qMdg1EfYRAlwOAJ9fF5n0glxU2jtvWuz7WawdlX99wgCfe+vJ rvW8d5602S+wZ9jCXE+DAnY=5T4K -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
