samba - Sep 2004 - ntconfig.pol not loaded

hi samba community and team !

I' m playing with policies under win2k/samba3/ntconfig.pol/poledit
It worked at first, but now seems my win2k test machine doesn't want to load
the
ntconfig.pol located into \\mysmbpdc\netlogon

I've seen some threads about the same prob. but none with a solution.
I know there is a project with an "editreg" tool planned.
But for now I would like to apply policies under my win2k workstation with old
format.

If anyone have a good policies conf. working, I'm interested in.

Finaly, I have found a solution to this problem !
look:

At first on my win2k workstation, policies where working (with ntconfig.pol into
\\sambaserver\netlogon)

Doing somes changes into poledit.exe and trying somes different templates .adm
files, my computer where not loading the ntconfig.pol anymore.
In fact the thread located here is true :

More precisely, this is the template file 'common.adm' witch contains
into the
'network' section this parameter (look the section of common.adm next):

If the automatic update was desactivated at one moment, then the ntconfig.pol
will not be loaded.
You must activate the "automatic aupdate" for this to work.
believe me, I have tryed this morning onto my computer, It Works !!
