I have three machines on a network. 'number1' is an XP box, with a shared drive called c1, 'number2' runs Win ME with a shared drive c2, and 'number3' runs linux. The command 'smbclient \\\\number2\\c2' succeeds, but 'smbclient \\\\number1\\c1', after asking for a password, yields: Domain=[HOME] OS=[Windows 5.1] Server=[Windows 2000 LAN Manager] tree connect failed: NT_STATUS_BAD_NETWORK_NAME I'd be grateful for a fix suggestion. peter hirsch
