I am using Samba 3.0.4 on RedHat 9. This server is a member server in an NT domain. Everything is working find. I'm trying to better understand the use of the net groupmap commands. Mapping the groups on Samba seem to have no affect with the rest of my domain. For example, the account that is an administrator in the NT domain has no permissions in Samba. I use wbinfo -u to list the users. I create a unix group and add the user with administrator priviledge to that unix group. I then net groupmap ntgroup="Domain Admins" unixgroup=domadm I then chown root:domadm to the shared directory However, I cannot access that directory via samba. I'm not sure if I'm missing something, or if I'm just not understanding the purpose of Net Groupmaps. Thank you _________________________ Timothy S. Stanley
