samba - Apr 2004 - User passwords expires...

Hi,

I have samba 2.2.7 on a RedHat 8.0 server.
Now I have the problem that our users are prompted to change their 
passwords,
because it expires in a few days.

I searched google.com, but I couldn't find anything for the older samba 
version.

I added all users with smbpasswd -a $username$.
There was no possibility to define password expiration.

Any solutions?
