Hi All, can anyone tell me the logic behind which DC winbind will bind to in a 2000/3 AD domain? Is this in anyway linked to the DC listed in krb5.conf or does winbind understand W2K sites (defined groups of network ranges) or some other logic? Also can anyone tell me how often winbind updates/re-reads users & groups from the AD, and is this configurable? thanks in advance, Andy.

You can define a preferred server using the 'password server'. We don't implement support for sites currently. Sorry. It is on the todo list though. But there is no way to define preferred servers for trusted domains so we rely on DNS (or WINS) lookups. cheers, jerry -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.2.1 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFALPnkIR7qMdg1EfYRAmi7AKDaJAc2ymnYYouxXgXDfIppL/D8NwCfQUJZ TMe0TB+uvKCxiARYZ2uLeaY=DRXK -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
