samba - May 2003 - About samba 3

Hi,

I work at a university as network administrator. I have to migrate my wins 
from a windows machine to a linux one using samba. I'd like to use the new 
samba's features, but I wouldn't like to use an unstable version in such
a
big network as I have.  So, how long will it take samba team to release a 
stable version?
