If your workstation is a member of a Samba controlled domain then the
answer is yes!
The way to do it is via a Policy file (NTConfig.POL) file that you need to
create (at this time the only tool to do this with is the NT4 Group Policy
Editor (we are working on a Samba utility to do this) by which you create
a policy that requires a particular command to be run off a network drive
redirection. You set it up to run once only.
The core of what you need to know to do this will be documented in the new
Samba-HOWTO-Collection.pdf that will ship with the final gold release of
Samba-3.0.0. If you need access to this information sooner then the
following URL will locate the current "work-in-progress" version, but
understand that it is NOT complete and not all of it has been QA
validated - so use at your own risk!
