[Samba] rpcclient on a netapp filer returns NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED
Connecting to a NT4 box does not make any problems. When i try to connect to the filer i get NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED. (samba 2.2.5) I do this with an account which is in the domain admin group. rpcclient -d 3 -U domain\\user hostname Initialising global parameters params.c:pm_process() - Processing configuration file "/opt/samba/2.2.5/etc/smb.conf" Processing section "[global]" added interface ip=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx bcast=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx nmask=xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx resolve_lmhosts: Attempting lmhosts lookup for name hostname<0x20> resolve_hosts: Attempting host lookup for name hostname<0x20> Password: Connecting to host=hostname share=IPC$ Connecting to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx at port 445 error connecting to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:445 (Connection refused) Connecting to xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx at port 139 open policy ... lsa_io_sec_qos: length c does not match size 8 open2 policy ... lsa_io_sec_qos: length c does not match size 8 could not obtain sid for domain ?4@?????????4@?????5(???N? error: NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED btw: the domainname "?4@?????????4@?????5(???N?" is not correct ... The same occurs, when specifying the domain-name on the command-line. (by name or by sid) Any suggestions ? ____________________________________________________________________________ ____ Georg Weber Senior Engineer - Software Development Infineon Technologies IFDA IT RD Microelectronic Design Centers phone: +43 4242 305-6065 Austria GmbH fax: +43 4242 3020-6065 Siemensstr. 2, 9500 Villach, Austria mailto: Georg.Weber@infineon.com http://www.infineon.com/ezmvi
