We upgraded our server from RedHat 6.2 to RedHat 7.3, which includes an upgrade of samba from 2.2.5 to 2.2.7. We have confirmed that samba 2.2.5 running on the RedHat 7.3 system is as fast as it was on the 6.2 system, but if we upgrade to 2.2.7, then performance drops 20% as seen by NetBench (43.2 Mbits/sec for 2.2.5 and 32.1 MB/sec for 2.2.7) Has anyone else seen this problem? The config files are exactly the same, but 2.2.5 is consistently 20% faster than 2.2.7 Thank you, Tom Dickson, InoStor, Inc.
