Have you gotten any replies?
This doesn't appear to be a samba problem. This is a compilation problem.
Have you tried
compiling anything else on this machine? What version of Mandrake are you
using. You may just need a new distro.
Are you sure you are in the right directory when you run configure and make?
Are you running this as root?
