[Samba] Problems accessing files from application
I am experiencing a strange problem. We have a WIN2K app. from which we want to be able to use files on our SAMBA server. When we try to open a file from the SAMBA share we get a message "cannot open file G:\file.txt" . The strange with this is that I am able to open the file from notepad or Word or any other application. Any ideas anyone?????? My smb.conf looks like this: # Global parameters [global] workgroup = DOMAIN netbios name = GYLVE netbios aliases = gylve server string = Samba Server %v security = DOMAIN encrypt passwords = Yes password server = svgw2k01 passwd program = /usr/bin/yppasswd %u passwd chat = *New*password* %n\n *Retype*new*psasword %n\n *passwd:*all *authentication*tokens*updated*successfully* log file = /usr/samba/var/log.%m max log size = 50 dns proxy = No wins server = svgw2k01 comment = Samba server %v os level = 33 log level = 1 socket options = TCP_NODELAY deadtime = 15 mangle case = Yes hide dot files = No case sensitive = Yes preferred master = No domain master = No local master = No short preserve case = Yes # nt pipe support = No # nt smb support = No # nt status support = No [homes] comment = Home Directories read only = No browseable = No [tmp] comment = Temporary file space path = /usr/tmp read only = No Rgds.
