[Samba] SuSE 8.1/Samba 2.2.7 - files disappear in home subdirs
Hi Everybody,
first the setup:
logon path = \\pmn90\%U\profile
logon drive = U:
logon home = \\pmn90\%U
[homes]
valid users = %S
read only = No
inherit permissions = No
security mask = 0777
directory security mask = 0777
browseable = No
This setup mounts "/home/user-xy" under letter "U:". People
usually
make subdirs, e.g. "data", in it and store files they need wherever
they roam.
After logoff new files are still there under the subdirs. When they
login again the subdirs are suddenly empty.
Any clue, why that happens?
Cheers,
Dragan

I hate to be a bother, but if you could just drop a line, why should a file be deleted when a user logs in again and valid user is "%S" instead of "%U". Were there other victims?
