samba - Dec 2002 - how to turn "enable advanced printing features" off?

Hello list,
I tried serveral versions of samba (2.2.6/7, 3.0alpha21) to
uncheck the above mentioned checkbox.
When reopening the advanced tab, this checkbox is never unchecked.
The problem is a (maybe) thump plotter driver, that does not create valid 
output data (even on a local queue) until the **** checkbox is unchecked.

my smb.conf:

security = share
guest account = root 

[printers]
        comment    = All Printers
        path       = /var/spool/samba
        guest ok   = yes
        printable  = yes
        browseable = no
[print$]
        path       = /var/drivers
        guest ok   = yes
        browseable = yes
        read only  = no


hints?tricks?workarounds?...replies??
