Try the following parameters: write list read list valid users Check man smb.conf for help on them. You shold check, that your filesystem suports ACL-s (e.g. XFS for Irix and Linux), then change the owner of the required files to root, and group root change, the permissions acordingly e.g 700, and add acl entrys for the desired groups.
