I am using a linux box with Samba to share up a directory in Read/Write mode that contains a number of subdirectories, each being an smbmount'd directory from another machine, these other machines (around 10-12) are running a variety of SCO Unix and NT 4.0 and NT 2000 with parts of their disks shared up as read/write. Until recently it was all working, however when moving to a new server with RH 7.2 and Samba 2.2.5 it now regularly locks up and no amount of killing of processes will help and I have to reboot - usually forcing machine to power off during shutdown because of a hang. Has anyone any suggestions/advice ? Thanks Ian e-mail: ian.harper@vaisala.com
