I'm having issues when connecting to a localhost with swat. I'm using RedHat 7.3 and I have the /etc/services file and the /etc/xinetd.d/swat file setup correctly. At least I think I do, because I'm able to connect and have it prompt me for a username and password. No matter how the swat file is configured, it refuses access. Is this something to do with using encrypted passwords with samba, under linux, or is it a Linux security issue? Thanks to all who reply....I appreciate it. -- Hail the forest daemons.
Have you created the smbpasswd for your root user? lin-iung wrote:> I'm having issues when connecting to a localhost with swat.
