samba - Aug 2002 - Can't log in... more

Hi again... I've managed to get the machines logged in now by setting up the
names in lowercase only.  Can someone please advise me if smbpasswd entries MUST
be in lowercase for machines to log in ?

I looked at my smbpasswd file and they are all in lower case.
