I have installed Samba from the OS X binaries at xamba on
SourceForge. I've checked the settings against those in the OS X
Unleashed chapter on Samba, and they appear right.
I've set up for user-level security. But I cannot for the life of me
add a new user to the Samba world. Every time I try, I get a Console
Crash log that looks like this:
>Command: swat
>PID: 680
>
>Exception: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (0x0001)
>Codes: KERN_PROTECTION_FAILURE (0x0002) at 0x000000df

The browser returns a "document contained no data." Trying to work
with the user I tried to add generates an error in Samba in the
browser that it can't find an entry for the user. The user I'm trying
to add definitely exists as an account in OS X with the password I'm
providing.
Help!
