When starting samba on a Sun running Solaris 7, I get the following errors in the smbd log: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- tdb(/usr/local/samba2/private/secrets.tdb): tdb_mmap failed for size 696 (Resource temporarily unavailable) [2002/08/12 11:39:18, 2] tdb/tdbutil.c:tdb_log(492) tdb(/usr/local/samba2/var/locks/messages.tdb): tdb_mmap failed for size 696 (Resource temporarily unavailable) [2002/08/12 11:39:19, 2] tdb/tdbutil.c:tdb_log(492) tdb(/usr/local/samba2/var/locks/connections.tdb): tdb_mmap failed for size 696 (Resource temporarily unavailable) [2002/08/12 11:39:19, 2] tdb/tdbutil.c:tdb_log(492) tdb(/usr/local/samba2/var/locks/connections.tdb): tdb_mmap failed for size 8192 (Resource temporarily unavailable) [2002/08/12 11:39:19, 2] tdb/tdbutil.c:tdb_log(492) tdb(/usr/local/samba2/private/secrets.tdb): tdb_mmap failed for size 8192 (Resource temporarily unavailable) [2002/08/12 11:39:19, 2] smbd/server.c:open_sockets(215) waiting for a connection -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Does anyone know what the errors signify and how to cure the problem? I subsequently get the error: tdb(/usr/local/samba2/private/secrets.tdb): tdb_reopen: failed to obtain active lock and I haven't been able to get a Win 2k PC to join the samba domain.
