samba - Jul 2002 - %u etc not working

Hello I've got some problems with log files and usernames.
I was trying to make seperate log files for different users but I cannot get
them to work when I specify log file = /var/log/samba.%u a file samba.%u appears
in /var/log
Am I missing something here or might it be a compile error?

Try %U.  It is probably a different between standard_sub_basic() and 
standard_sub_advanced().
