Hello, I cannot get Samba-2.2.5 to configure with --with-acl-support. I had it working under 2.2.4 by editing the configure script and modifying the LIBS line to look like: LIBS="-lacl -lattr $LIBS". I have tried the same thing under Samba-2.2.5 and it reports: checking whether to support ACLs... checking for acl_get_file in -lacl... (cached) no checking for ACL support... (cached) no Is there something different that I need to do to get Samba-2.2.5 to recognize that I have XFS and want acl support? Thanks, Gary
nevermind... (cached) should have given me a clue to begin with... I deleted config.cache and reconfigured and all is well.. Thanks anyway =) >checking whether to support ACLs... checking for acl_get_file in -lacl... (cached) no >checking for ACL support... (cached) no
Evenin All Im pretty sure this one has been answered before, but I cant find it anywhere. Im running Samba 2.2.4 on Solaris 9 on a sunblade 100 as a PDC with Win XP clients. It all works fine, no problems connecting to it, the only problem is the slow transfer rates im getting. Using a samba share im only getting half the speed to that of an ftp transfer. Does anyone have any ideas?
