We are running Samba 2.2.4 built 64-bit on Solaris 8. Samba is used to provide the ClearCase Vobs to our windows (mainly 2k) clients. I have been noticing in the logs for various machines [2002/06/11 19:23:13, 0, effective(0, 0), real(0, 0)] lib/util_sock.c:(434) read_data: read failure for 4. Error = Connection timed out [2002/06/12 18:41:07, 0, effective(0, 0), real(0, 0)] lib/util_sock.c:(434) read_data: read failure for 4. Error = Connection timed out I am not sure what to make of these errors. They seem to be consistent with about the time people leave. These samples are from the log of my machines connection and it seems to be about when I left work for the day. Many of the client machines are laptops. Has anyone seen this before? Should I be concerned? Thanks. Matt
