Ok I installed 2.2.4 and the upload is actually a little slower so then I
added to the smb.conf
write raw = No (as this is the only other option I know of, default is yes)
No change
the nic I am using is a netgear FA311 (sis0) in both the xp and Freebsd
machine
/var/log/log.smb
The only log messages are from startup

bind failed on port 139 socket_addr = 0.0.0.0.
Error = Address already in use

(I should fix that bind error but it figures out the address eventually :)
Any other ideas??? Perhaps something I can change in the XP box to send
files differently?
Thanks,
