Hello Michael,
This typically means that the compiler you are using is either not ansi
compliant, or
if you are using gcc, you are possibly using an older version that has
problems on your
platform. For instance on HP-UX, this typically means that you are trying
to use the
built in 'c' compiler that is NOT ansi compliant. On other platforms,
the
version of gcc
you are using can be important. IF you post your gcc (or whatever 'c'
you
are using) version
and the operating system platform and version you are using, perhaps someone
familiar with
that platform can make a suggestion for you.
