samba - Apr 2002 - (no subject)

how can i get smbd and nmbd to start automatically when linux boots up??

The Samba Project HOWTO collection shows 2 methods. You could 
also add lines like this to the end of your rc.local file:

/usr/sbin/smbd -D
/usr/sbin/nmbd -D

Using the path correct for your installation, of course.
