I have installed samba 2.2.3a under Debian and I'm having trouble with windows XP home edition. XP can map the share \\share\test or browser \\server however if I try to use that mapped share or try browse deeper (\\server\test) I get an error staying "\\server\test refers to a location that is unavailible. ..." I can print to the printers on the machine fine and windows 98 can connect fine. I've changed the registry entry for sign or seal. Samba is set to security = user The closest thing I can see to an error in the log files are lines like the following [2002/04/02 10:46:48, 3] smbd/trans2.c:call_trans2qfilepathinfo(1624) call_trans2qfilepathinfo: check_name of . failed (Success) [2002/04/02 10:46:48, 3] smbd/error.c:error_packet(103) error packet at smbd/trans2.c(1626) cmd=50 (SMBtrans2) NT_STATUS_OBJECT_PATH_N OT_FOUND Any help would be appriecated
