I have a problem that is probably easy to fix. I have set up a share and am able to login to it and I can read the files there. I can't create create a folder or copy or rename files to the share. I'm sure this is a write permission problem. The smb.conf file contains for that share writeable yes and I am a member of the write list. What am I missing? TIA
AFAIK, The file permissions for the files/directories themselves must be writable for the user/group accessing them. If it is a guest user, permissions would need to be o+rwx.
