Samba can run over the top of VPN protocols like IPSEC(?) and PPTP. There is a PPTP server for linux at poptop.lineo.com that supports Windows 2000 connections via the built in "VPN Adapter". The website is almost useless as it hasn't been updated in eons, but the mailing list is very active and there are people that will help you. yes using IPSEC www.freeswan.org But samba does not participate in establishment it just uses the tunnel. Ive done Linux to Linux IPSEC and run samba over it without serious problem (browsing seems a problem machines dont appear in NN but connections work fine) From what I understand there should not be any difficulty (beyond setting up IPSEC) in doing the same thing Linux to WIN2K regards, Thing Calvin Chiu wrote:> > Any idea? > Thank you very much~ > > -- > To unsubscribe from this list go to the following URL and read the > instructions: http://lists.samba.org/mailman/listinfo/samba
