samba - Nov 2001 - Samba without NetBIOS

Please cc all responses to me.

Windows 2000 supports SMB/CIFS over TCP port 445 without going through 
NetBIOS.  Does Samba support this, and if so, how do I configure it to 
*only* allow this and not SMB over NBT?

Just run it on port 445.  (inetd will do the job for you).  You might
want to run 2.2.2 for some small fixups, but I think that samba actually
worked with this all along (we just didn't notice :-).
