Make sure the UN*X permissions allow the user access to the directory you're

Subject: Problem Accessing Samba Server via Windows
I ran through the tests in DIAGNOSIS.txt and i am snagged on step 8. When I
try and map from Windows, I always get an "access denied."
My main question is: DO I need to add my COMPUTER NAME to the Solaris passwd
file?
The problem with this is our COMPUTER NAMES are 12 characters and Solaris
only supports 8 character id's.. I log into my windows machine using an
account called ef59. I added ef59 to the passwd file and to the samba
passwd file.
Im kinda lost at this point
