I've got to the point where my Windows Machines can ping the Netbios name of my Linux Box. But I still can't join the NT domain or mount a share (my ultimate goal) from that domain. I've added a machine account on the NT PDC. Whenever I use SMBPASSWD -j DOMAIN -r PDC it tells me it can't resolve PDC... I've even tried adding the -R bcast option to (if I understand it correctly) force it to use broadcast for name resolution. I've changed from DHCP to a Static IP with no avail and I can browse the Internet and our Intranet. When I try using SMBPASSWD -j DOMAIN -r 10.1.1.1 it gives me an error 131 and says that 10.1.1.1 rejected the session... I've checked the web... I've read the docs (DOMAIN_MEMBER.HTML) and the SMBPASSWD man pages and I'm at a loss... I can't find the Diagnosis.txt anywhere in the samba doc folder. If it makes a difference I'm running Samba BUT and here's the weird thing... I downloaded the GNOMBA package... and using that I can manage to map a share that's on my PDC. (after I do this I'm still grayed out in the PDC's server manager) Any thoughts? Matt
