Some of these shares are on Samba, but some are not.On Samba you can try this: Net Use \\Machine1\share1%John Net Use \\Machine2\share2%Jane Best regards Ludek Babor E-Mail: Babor@Glavunion.cz operation manager E-Mail: Ludek.Babor@Glavunion.cz Glavunion, a.s., Teplice Tel: +420-417-503085 (+420-602-388003) Sklarska 450 Fax: +420-417-508085 416 74 Teplice FIDO: 2:423/74.13 PGP key available from PGP key servers (http://www.pgp.net/pgpnet) I use MIME ISO-8859-2 friendly software.

It works with Samba, but doesn't solve the problem when the share is coming from W95/W98/WNT. Is there a workaround/utility which will address that limitation? For instance, odd as it may seem, a Win32 version of smbmnt? Thanks, David Mathog mathog@seqaxp.bio.caltech.edu Manager, sequence analysis facility, biology division, Caltech

You might try to put another netbios name for the same server into your local lmhosts and enable lmhosts resolution. I did not try this, but chances are this could work also.
