If you already have PDCs in your organization,
and **demand** a PDC, you're out of luck.
Samba 2.0.7 can be an authentication, print and file
server, which is what a pdc **does**, but it
can't be a Microsoft pdc or bdc. That requires
samba-tng, an experimental version of the program.
Samba 2.0.7 will interoperate properly with
Windows 2000, and can be a "member server" in
a windows domain, under the control of a PDC.
