samba - Jul 1997 - collecting browse flags

Hi,

how can I get the browse flags of a server?
The problem is: 
If I am sitting at a Unix box which is not the master browser the
browse.dat file just contains entries for my box and the master browser. 
Btw: is that the correct behavior?
And I also like to collect them for a remote workgroup. 
Any ideas?
