DO NOT REPLY [Bug 6143] New: Receiver log to database
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=6143
           Summary: Receiver log to database
           Product: rsync
           Version: 3.0.6
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P3
         Component: core
        AssignedTo: wayned@samba.org
        ReportedBy: kilburna@iservnetworks.com
         QAContact: rsync-qa@samba.org
Hi
Is it possible in future versions to use something like DBI with rsync to log
the receiver and/or client output to a database instead of a log file. The log
format could determine the column names.
Thanks

could you explain why you need that or why you think this is useful ?
this looks like a very special needing to me and you could probably implement
that easily with an external perl-script
