Q:Is there any way that you can remove the default panel with the icons?
(Im trying to make it look like a Mac layout)

There are several different Window-Managers, you can choose them
during log-in, also <http://askubuntu.com/> could be a valuable ressource.

I dont know if there are any mac like Window-Managers. I just stuck
with gnome-fallback...
