We are a small team of three individuals based in South East Asia (Indonesia/Singapore), developing a unique Asian focused multi- language web application using what we believe to be a unique and viable business model. Whilst two of us have extensive programming experience we are new to Ruby on Rails, and have approximately 12 months of experience developing in ROR. To date our efforts, have been self funded and we are hoping to launch a beta application in the next several months. At that time, we plan to refine our application’s functionality based on feedback from users and will be exploring capital raising from external investors. In developing our application, our goal has been to implement best rails practices. We recently upgraded our code base to Rails 3, and use rspec and cucumber to test and verify functionality. Given the difficulty of finding ROR programmers and experts in Asia, and given our strategy of ensuring we develop our application using best rails practices, we are currently seeking a remote or Asian based mentor to join our team. Ideally, this person should be a seasoned rails professional with extensive development experience. We would hope that this individual could spend several hours each week reviewing our code and providing guidance remotely to us with respect to ROR and the development of our application. As we are self funded capital is limited but we would be able to provide some compensation for the time spent and/or an equity interest in the application. If you are interested please reply privately to me with your CV and we can discuss further.
