Active Directory (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Active_directory) is
Microsoft''s implementation of LDAP (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/
LDAP). I use the ruby-net-ldap gem (http://net-ldap.rubyforge.org/)
to access it. Comments in the code provide an overview of LDAP,
document the methods and provide examples. See lib\net\ldap.rb in the
ruby-net-ldap gem directory for authentication.
