Hello everyone , I just installed Rails 3 and I''m aiming to play with it. But when I try to install the sqlite3-ruby gem I get this message. I use Ubuntu Karmic, have sqlite installed and use Ruby Enterprise Edition. ubuntu% gem install sqlite3-ruby Building native extensions. This could take a while... ERROR: Error installing sqlite3-ruby: ERROR: Failed to build gem native extension. /home/rodrigo3n/.rvm/rubies/ruby-1.9.1-p378/bin/ruby extconf.rb checking for fdatasync() in -lrt... yes checking for sqlite3.h... no *** extconf.rb failed *** Could not create Makefile due to some reason, probably lack of necessary libraries and/or headers. Check the mkmf.log file for more details. You may need configuration options.
