Rails - May 2009 - Re: projects works then breaks intermittently - mysql, linux

i cant think what else i can supply that might help but if theres 
anything you need supplied, explained or rephrased then just say the

Look in the development.log for error messages as a first step.

i thought id mentioned this already but for some reason i didnt (it was 
late when i wrote the first post) - my linux environment is actually a 
guest os via virtualbox and is being run on a vista 64 machine. This is 
a new move for me and as id done a few test projects which worked fine 
to test the rig I thought it wasnt the source fo the problem above.

I created a shared folder setup with the intention to host all my rails 
projects. The linux guest would run them with its mongrel server and i 
planned to edit them via my e-editor in windows. I think its this shared 
folder thats messing things up. Has anyone else had similiar experiences 
with this?

oh and the reason for this setup is that i wanted to try linux first 
without having to go through partioning and facing the fear of wiping my 
vista install in the process (there are quite a few horror stories out 
there). Im also attached to e-editor which i recently paid for (ok not 
big bucks but hey i dont like throwing money away). Im now in the 
process of learning vim and might do a full switch soon. In the meantime 
id like to try and smooth out this problem.

What is the error message and stack trace when the app breaks?

Where is the code/log? It is not in your post.

hi guys, the error report above was taken from the development.log. Ill 
rerun it later today when i get home and get more info for you.

Adam,

There is NO error report above... The output from you log file is
missing in this post. Please repost the error "report".

ok ive rerun the app and recreated the error. Ive attached the entire 
log development.log file and pasted it below. If whats meant to be there 
isnt there then its rails fault and not mine. Ive used the development 
log plenty of times to find sources of errors.

Im pretty sure it has something to do with virtual folders.
