Rails - Nov 2008 - XML-RPC client

I need to receive pings from Wordpress, someone knows of a simple  
library to handle this task ? I know of ActionWebservice but seems to  
be deprecated and it''s a bit too much for what I have to do ... Better
to parse by hand ?
