view:
 <%= link_to_remote "Remove", :url => { :controller =>
"auth_user",
:action => :remove_req }, :id => "post.requirement_id"
%></td>
controller:
  def remove_req
redirect_to :action => :index
end
When I click on the link, it doesn''t redirect. What''s the
problem?
Thanks

What''s the problem?You probably want link_to not link_to_remote. link_to_remote does an ajax call link_to: http://api.rubyonrails.com/classes/ActionView/Helpers/UrlHelper.html#M001601 link_to_remote: http://api.rubyonrails.com/classes/ActionView/Helpers/PrototypeHelper.html#M001628> Thanks > -- > Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/. > > > >--~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Ruby on Rails: Talk" group. Link_to_remote problems.....
The above ajax call is not working for me. whenever i make a call to the
same server using this command i am able to get the response, but when i
try to make a similar call to a different uri located on a different
computer or different port it is not working...Am I missing something
.Can anybody help ?
<html>
  <head>
    <title>Ajax Demo</title>
    <%= javascript_include_tag "prototype" %>
  </head>
  <body>
    <h1>What time is it?</h1>
    <div id="time_div">
      I don''t have the time, but
      <%= link_to_remote( "click here",
                         :update => "time_div",
                         :url
=>''http://localhost:3000/posts'',:method=>"get")
%>
      and I will look it up.
    </div>
  </body>
</html>
The call works but when i change the url to something else like
http://localhost:3000/posts then its is not working ?????
