Rails - Jun 2008 - AVG antivirus interferes with webbrick locally ?

Has anyone seen a problem like this  ... I have avg on windows XP.
Running webbrick, often when I define a new controller or action, when
I try to access it, avg intercepts it and redirects it to some other
page not found
url like this:

http://avg.urlseek.vmn.net/search.php?lg=en&mkt=en&type=404&tb=ff&tbn=avg&q=http://localhost:3000/weather

 I haven''t figured out anyway to get around this thus far and avg
seems to have no built in way to disable such action

If you''re on FF, I wonder if disabling the AVG plugin would fix your
problem...it''s new with the latest AVG8. You can just go to
FF''s addon
manager & disable it.
