rfacebook Q&A with Duane Morin - Connect At College rfacebook Sighting
Hello, Thanks to Duane Morin - the Rubyist behind the Connect At College Facebook app - the 2nd rfacebook Sightings posting is now online. On tips, tricks or advice for developers getting started with Facebook development and rfacebook Duane Morin writes: Track everything. Don''t delete records - mark them deleted, so you can report on them later. Implement Facebook''s post_remove option (which gives you one last shot at a user who has removed your app) to tag users who remove your app. Facebook''s standard statistics only tell you adds/drops in the last 24hrs, but you should be able to do your own reporting on whatever window you want. Standardize your logging enough that you have audit trails and can track your most (and least) popular actions, and then do something about it.
